2025 Susquehanna District Fall Outpost

Reptile Invasion!

J. Edward Mack Scout Reservation on October 17-19, 2025 The event is designed for Cub Scouts and their parents.  Troops and Crews will be helping to run the stations.

After the stations are finished for the day, all Scouts and participants will have the opportunity to participate in an afternoon program with Forgotten Friends!

This year, all Cub Ranks will have their own adventure trek to follow – similar to summer camp at Mack.

2025 Susquehanna District Fall Outpost Leader Guide

The main purpose of the Fall Outpost is to expose young scouts to activities in which they will participate throughout their years in scouting. Cub Scouts will participate in stations revolving around the theme of Reptile Invasion. This is also an opportunity for Cub Scouts to meet some of their outdoor requirements while having fun.  Cubs also have an opportunity to engage with the older Scouts and for the older Scouts to practice leadership.

No matter how long you are staying, the price of attendance per person is:

  • Cubs (youth and adults): $18 per person (includes Saturday lunch)
  • Troops/Crews: $10 per person (includes Saturday lunch) or $6 per person (no lunch)
    • The entire troop/crew must choose lunch or no lunch.
  • Staff (Non-unit Volunteers): $10 per person (includes Saturday lunch)
  • Extra patches: $3 each

Make sure to register through your Unit’s Tentaroo account!  You MUST register by 10/10/25 to ensure we can get the proper supplies.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION WHEN REGISTERING:

All Cub Scout youth attending must be registered in a class.  This will allow us to adjust stations to accommodate various ages.  This year station rotation will be based on rank, not Pack. This is similar to how Camp Mack runs its summer camp sessions.

  • Lion Rank Class – Kindergarteners
  • Tiger Rank Class – 1st graders
  • Wolves Rank Class – 2nd graders
  • Bear Rank Class – 3rd graders
  • Webelos Rank Class – 4th graders
  • AOL Rank Class – 5th Note that this group will be in its own area and does not go through the stations.  There will be range time at 2:30pm. There should be at least one adult from your pack with any youth who are participating in this class.

Unregistered siblings attending – must be of Scouting age and should be registered in the class they will be rotating with to make sure we know how to divide groups for rotation.
